Tazhong Mining Co., Ltd. 4-Million-Ton/Year Beneficiation Plant
The Alden-Topkan Lead-Zinc Concentrator Plant of Tazhong Mining Co., Ltd., located within the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan, is an EPC general contracting project undertaken by Yantai Jinyuan Mining Co., Ltd.
The first-phase project has a designed capacity of 1 million tons per year. Construction began in December 2007 and was successfully completed and put into operation in June 2009, with a construction period of 18 months. On June 26, 2009, Tajik President Rahmon attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the project’s official commissioning.
The second-phase project of the Tazhong Mining Co., Ltd. Beneficiation Plant—the expansion project with an annual capacity of 2 million tons—is also an EPC general contracting project undertaken by Yantai Jinyuan Mining Co., Ltd. Construction commenced in April 2015 and was completed and put into operation in March 2016. The construction period for the second-phase project was 11 months.
After the completion of Phase I and Phase II projects, the processing plant of Tazhong Mining Co., Ltd. has achieved an actual production capacity of 2.5 million tons per year, making it the largest ore-processing plant in the Republic of Tajikistan. Its equipment and ore-processing technologies have reached world-leading standards, and its economic indicators are highly advanced, contributing significantly to the economic development of Tajikistan.
In April 2019, the third-phase expansion project commenced, adding a new high-pressure roller milling crushing system upgrade. The design of the high-pressure roller milling system aims to enhance the quality and efficiency of the existing mine while reducing energy consumption and costs. This approach offers a brand-new design philosophy that emphasizes lower investment and higher output. The project went into operation in November 2019 and currently processes up to 4 million tons per year.
