Gold Ore Flotation Process Flowchart
DETALLES
| Introducción detallada
Process Introduction
Froth flotation is the most effective method for processing rock gold ores. A widely used mineral processing method, often employed for treating gold-bearing ores containing highly floatable sulfide minerals. The flotation process can maximize the concentration of gold in the sulfide minerals, allowing the tailings to be directly discarded. This process features low beneficiation costs, and approximately 80% of China’s rock-type gold ores are processed using this method. The flotation process mainly consists of several stages: reagent addition, agitation, aeration, and froth scraping.
Process flow
The flotation process flow is one of the key factors influencing mineral flotation. The rational selection of the process flow primarily depends on the properties of the ore, while also taking into account factors such as ease of operation, low operating costs, and maximizing the recovery of valuable minerals.
For gold ores containing a single gold mineral with relatively uniform particle size distribution and relatively coarse particle sizes, a single-stage grinding-and-flotation process is typically employed. For gold ores in which gold is unevenly distributed across both coarse and fine particle sizes, mercury plates or heavy-media separation equipment are usually installed in the grinding and classification circuit prior to flotation to recover gold pre-emptively.
