Kangding Combined Transport New Selection Plant
DETALLES
| Introducción detallada
The Kangding 500-ton-per-day carbon-in-pulp plant is being undertaken by our company under an EPC general contracting arrangement. The ore from this mining area exhibits deep oxidation, high clay content, and very low levels of silver and arsenic. The gold in the ore is finely disseminated, so a full-slurry cyanide-free leaching and carbon-in-pulp adsorption process has been adopted.
Guided by the principles of “minimizing crushing and maximizing grinding, while conserving energy and reducing consumption,” and taking into account the difficulty of crushing and grinding the ore, a two-stage open-circuit crushing process is employed for primary crushing. For grinding, a two-stage continuous closed-circuit grinding process is adopted. The final grinding product—a slurry—is dewatered and concentrated in a thickener to reach a concentration of 40%. Subsequently, a carbon-in-leach (CIL) process involving simultaneous leaching and adsorption is utilized, achieving a leaching recovery rate of 92.8%. Dewatering is carried out using a single-stage filter press. The tailings from the leaching process are pumped to the filter press house, where they undergo pressure filtration to reduce the moisture content of the filter cake to below 20%. The filtered cake is then unloaded into the tailings pond and transported by truck to the tailings storage area for disposal. The filtrate is returned to the beneficiation plant for recycling, thereby achieving zero wastewater discharge.
The gold-loaded carbon is designed using a high-temperature, cyanide-free desorption and isothermal electrolysis process. The desorbing agent consists of a cyanide-free composite desorbing solution mixed with sodium hydroxide.
After the desorption cycle is completed, open the vent valve of the electrolytic cell to allow it to cool down. Once it has reached room temperature, open the electrolytic cell and remove the gold sludge. The cathode steel wool, after being cleaned, is returned for reuse in the next cycle, while the gold sludge is sent to the smelting room.
For the desorption and electrolytic refining of gold mud, impurities are first removed by pre-leaching. The gold sand is then filtered and washed. After washing, the gold sand is dried, melted, and cast into ingots to produce high-purity gold ingots.
